Studio Kura @ Nijou-machi, Fukuoka
There is a small artist in residence studio in Nijou-machi, Itoshima-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture. West side of Fukuoka city. It takes approx. 1 hour by car from central Fukuoka.

The organizer of the residence is Mr. MATSUZAKI Hirofumi, an artist living and working in Berlin. Nijoumachi is his hometown. He invites Ms. Melissa Steckbauer from N.Y.
Today, June 21, a candle night event was held at the Studio Kura.
Mellisa will have a solo exhibition at the IAF SHOP* in Fukuoka city, from June 28 (Sat.) to July 6 (Sun.), 2008.
I hope we will have many such residence places in/near Fukuoka.
