Last night, a talk event was held in my new office "ART BASE 88", KONYA 2023 #306.

Urata Kotoe is an artist and now a coordinater of "Wakuwaku Mixed Bathing Apartment House" in Beppu.

She reported this unique art apartment project with photos and website information.

On Sept. 19, artist Fuji Hiroshi's talk event will be held at the ART BASE 88, room #306 @ KONYA 2023, Fukuoka, JAPAN.

ART BASE 88 at Konya2023, opening event today

Konya 2023 cafe has started last weekend (only Sat. and Sun.).
Cold coffee is 450 yen, interior is original.




The banners for each room. My room "AB88"'s is yellow one.


Today August 1, ART BASE 88 will have "Art Bazaar 88 --- Why don't you come to Konya tonight ? (KONYA WA KONYA NI KONYA)". no charge. party and bazaar. art goods, second hand books and cloth, etc.

On June 30, 2008, at the ART BASE 88 (Konya 2023 rooom #306), Mr. NODA Tsuneo talked about the Reisen-so and Konya 2023 project organized by the Travelers Project.

This talk lecture was held as the first event of WeTAC [West Tenjin Art Centre] Art Lecture Series No.1.

10 and more people joined this program. The AB88 need more chairs and tables first.

New Project: West Tenjin Art Centre @ AB88

The AB88 will produce a new important art project near future, "West Tenjin Art Centre" (Nishi-Tenjin Geijutsu Sentaa in Japanese) [WeTac].
* the name is draft.

[We-TAC] will be a contemporary art information center for visual art, film/video/movie art, performing art, literature, etc.
I do not need category, I have been longing a new art expression that cannot be explained by previous category.

Anyway this is the first step for ART CENTER PROJECT. The Museum City Project have been present lots of styled art-center-idea for more than 10 years.
But it is very hard to realize.
Then I will start this dream in my personal space.

In 2008, WeTac project will start as a preparing room at AB88 and have some lecture series about arts and culture.

"ART BAZAAR 88, Konya wa Konya ni konya? = Shall ww come to KONYA tonight?"

* It will be a famous fireworks festival night at the Oohori Koen Park.
* The Konya2023 bld. will be held a small party on the roof top, "You may look the fireworks, if you're lucky".

"ART BAZAAR 88" is a popular event in the art apartment 88. A kind of flea market of artworks, artist goods, second hand vintage cloth and books selected by art people.

I will clean up the room tomorrow, Sunday afternoon.

It will be fine tomorrow ? I will clean up the room "ART BASE 88" #306 of Dai-1 Matsumura BLD. (Konya 2023). Water plumbing and maintenance will be done on next Monday:)

It is hard to find daily cleaning tools near here, I should drive to get them.
